Hi all.

I am trying to help my Grandfather after upgrading his PC to XP.
He connects to NTL through dialup, hit tv/sat is through cable with them.

The original NTL CD is not compatible with XP.
Can I download new setup software or order a CD?
I tried to setup the connection manually, but had no luck.

Can anyone confirm the details I need to enter to get the free dial-up account running againg?
The modem is installed and working correctly.

Thanks for your time.

I am awaiting an engineer visiting re a suspected modem fault and am
unable to use my cable broadband. I phoned to report the fault and then
asked the NTL person who took my call, if they still offered the dial
up pay as you go service which costs a penny a minute. So I could use
it in an emergency

He said that they did. He said there is a website where you can order
it from but as I was at that tim eunable to access the internet he took
my details and SAID tha he would post one out to me

Tyr ringing NTL (dial 150 on the NTL phone) and speak to them, see if
they can assist you

Cheers

I had a Tiscali disk lying around and I have subscribed to that (pay as
you go) and can now access the internet again and send emails via my
dial up modem. Obviously, it is not using my NTL email address but that
is no great problem

Good luck
